Efraín Foglia

Designer in digital interactions, researcher and teacher. His work is positioned at the intersection between design, citizen activism and network technologies. His research ranges from neuroscience and its relationship with alternative communication, infrastructures based on mesh networks and the possible futures of the Internet, as well as new paradigms in design. Co-founder of guifi.net, the largest self-managed telecommunications network in the world. He is a promoter of open infrastructures in Spain, Mexico and the United Kingdom and of self-managed communities of practice. It works with cultural institutions, universities and educational and scientific research centers.
