Ross Flatt

Director of professional development at The New York Times, he was the founder of the Quest 2Learn public school created in New York by the Institute of Play Bloomfield, New Jersey, (USA).
Designer of learning environments and teaching solutions, Ross has more than 20 years of experience as a curriculum development specialist. In 2009, he was one of the founding teachers of Quest to Learn, where he worked as a high school teacher, and later as an assistant principal. As Principal Designer of Teaching Solutions at the Institute of Play, Ross supported professional development for teachers through the Teacher Quest program for teachers in the United States and around the world.
He currently works at The New York Times with newsroom editors to help the global community of educators and students teach and learn with The New York Times by producing, organizing and evaluating professional development programs for teachers, including seminars, live webcasts, student journalist panels and live classroom writing workshops.
