Javier Peña, passionate about energy, frequency and vibration as an expression of the universe and the matter it contains. Teaching since 1998, he has a doctorate in chemical sciences from the UPC, general director of ELISAVA and co-founder of Materfad. He focuses his research on new functional materials.
He is the author and editor of several books on materials, including Selection of materials in the design process, Graphene, a material for a paradigm shift and ELEMENTS, the theft of life particles. He has curated and directed various exhibitions of the which highlights: “Mater in Progress”. New Materials – New Industry”, “The Future in Construction”, “SmartFlexibility”; and “Design Does”.
