Eric Rosenbaum

PhD from MIT MediaLab is co-inventor of Makey Makey, Boston, MA (USA).

Creator, together with Jay Silver, of the Makey Makey invention kit developed at the MIT Media Lab’s Lifelong Kindergarten, previously, they also worked on other invention kits such as Drawdio, Singing Fingers, Glowdoodle, MelodyMorph and Scratch as well as other technologies for creative play.
From the beginning, Eric and Jay have placed a high value on learning through play and discovery, providing tools that are all about bringing imagination to life by helping to make things that matter.

In 2015, he completed his Ph.D. at the MIT Media Lab in the Lifelong Kindergarten group with a dissertation titled “Explorations in Musical Tinkering.” He previously worked at the MIT Teacher Training Program, creating learning games; Concord Consortium, which creates molecular dynamics simulations for kids; and Six Red Marbles, creating animations for music education. She has a Master of Technology in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a BA in Psychology and Mind/Brain/Behavior from Harvard College.

2022 marks 10 years of Makey Makey! So they celebrate and invite everyone to grab a slice of banana cake and enjoy the Makey Makey projects for the year.
