Oscar Blanch Bigas, Ph.D. in Physics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. After a few years at the Laboratoire de Physique Nucléaire et de Hautes Energies (LPNHE, Paris) he joined the IFAE where he is currently researching astrophysics, trying to understand the universe in which we live and build instruments that help us understand it better.
